There are several reasons why your Federal loan funds may not have been processed:

Disbursement Timing

The financial aid disbursement process begins during the third week of the quarter. Learners must meet eligibility requirements to receive the disbursement, including posting in the course room. (FlexPath learners please see Financial aid for FlexPath for specific participation requirements.)

Once your funds are posted to your account, any remaining refund amounts are processed within 7 calendar days, as mandated by federal guidelines. After your refund is processed, please allow up to 3 additional business days for your refund to be directly deposited or approximately 5-7 additional business days for the mailing time of your paper check.

Not Eligible

Learners must be active in at least a half-time course load in order to be eligible for financial aid. You must also meet all FASAP and other eligibility requirements for your federal aid.

Incomplete Application

You might still need to complete missing documents for your application. View your financial aid “To Do List” under the “Finances” section in the Student Center. (For FlexPath learners, visit the “View Financial Aid” section within your Student Center to be taken to your Financial Aid Dashboard.* Then click on “More…” in the “Required Documents” section.) It is a good idea to check your “To do list” between courses to ensure no items need your attention.

*If you have previously received financial aid within a Guided Path program, you may be presented with a page asking you to select an aid year. If that happens, click on the red button at the top that says “Current Financial Aid Details.” That will bring you to the Financial Aid Dashboard.
