Yes, we may need to create what's called an Abbreviated Loan Period if you had recently taken out federal financial aid at your previous institution. An Abbreviated Loan Period is a shortened academic year that begins when you start at Capella and ends when your loan period would have ended at the previous institution. Aid taken out at any previous institution may need to be considered when awarding within the abbreviated loan period. This can result in misalignment between financial aid disbursements and tuition charges. Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (FASAP) will also be reviewed at the end of these periods.
