There is no shortage to the number of job postings that exist. You can find thousands of them posted in online job boards. Applying to these roles, however, is typically inefficient and does not actually reveal all of the potential jobs out there. Many jobs are filled internally or through word of mouth and never make it to a job board.

To find jobs of interest to you:

  • Clarify the types of roles you are seeking
  • Identify companies where you would like to work
  • Expand  your network to include professionals in your industry and at target companies
  • Let your current network know the types of roles you are interested in
  • Connect with hiring managers and recruiters at companies where you want to work
  • Complete your LinkedIn profile to highlight your qualifications for roles you are pursuing

These strategies can help you uncover positions that might not make their way to an online job board.
