A criminal conviction can be a barrier, because of biases that exist. It might take you extra time and a high level of persistence and proactivity, but it does not necessarily mean you will be unable to find another job.
The options you have available might depend on the nature of the crime and length of time since you were convicted. Some professions, though, are closed off entirely to those with a felony in their background while others might just be more challenging to get into. Having strong personal connections can help make it easier for you to transition into a job after your criminal conviction. It can also be helpful to identify your strong set of skills and become comfortable communicating them to others.
