As you are likely aware, a CV includes a teaching and training experience section because of the importance academic search committees place on this skill set. If you do not yet have formal teaching experience, include training or teaching you have done as part of your past jobs or volunteer experience. Some examples include:
- Conducting a new employee orientation.
- Facilitating a community education course.
- Presenting at a conference.
- Serving as a guest presenter.
If you do not have any teaching experience, refer to the article on Breaking into Teaching in Higher Education for tips on how to obtain it.
