It depends on the type of jobs for which you are applying. Resumes are the most commonly used job search document and are typically used when applying for positions in most business settings, including K-12 school settings. If you are applying for teaching positions in higher education, or are in the field of psychology, you will need a CV. Outside of these settings, a good rule of thumb is to use a resume unless a CV is specifically requested.
