A cover letter should convey your message in no more than one single-spaced page. This shows your ability to communicate in an effective and concise manner. When creating your cover letter, follow standard business letter format and use a 11-12 point font that is professional and legible such as Arial, Calibri, Times New Roman, Verdana or Tahoma consistently throughout your entire document. As space allows, you may choose to include bullet points to highlight your relevant qualifications.
