Bringing your resume to an informational interview is a good idea, assuming it is already up to date, well thought out and well written.  There are a few reasons it could be helpful to have it:

  • It can be a quick, organized way for the person you’re talking with to understand your education and background in a snapshot.
  • Seeing it could help the individual focus on areas of interest, strength, or concern and be better equipped to advise you.
  • You can receive feedback regarding how you are presenting yourself on the document itself.
