Similar to applying at any institution, connecting with faculty, watching for appropriate openings on the Capella Careers page, and being prepared to submit an outstanding application are crucial.  Also, in order to maintain a variety of accreditations, Capella limits the total number of alumni so it does not exceed 10% of the faculty pool (this practice is common in most accredited institutions). It ensures a richly diverse faculty population, which is beneficial to the learners. Because Capella feels so strongly about the quality of our graduates, we are typically at or very close to that 10% limit for most of our programs.
