An interview is a chance for you to make a good impression on the potential employer. Consider how your attire complements the professional brand you hope to convey in the interview. It’s okay to show your personality in your clothes, as long as it fits within typical attire for the role you are pursuing.

Each organization’s dress code is different and it’s up to you to do some research to better understand their particular policy. If you don’t have any current connections at the organization, ask the recruiter or HR representative who extended the interview invitation. Ultimately, it’s important to look professional and polished. When in doubt, its best to err on the side of overdressed rather than being too causal.
