If you don’t know a person’s name, they have a common name, or you are just interest in discovering people to connect with, use the Advanced Search capability of LinkedIn. Input the name or other key word in the search bar and then filter based on your identified criteria to narrow your search. You can search for people in your extended network based on your entries. Some suggestions for people to find and invite into your network include:

  • Current and former co-workers or colleagues
  • People you meet through professional organizations or networking events
  • Fellow students or alumni from colleges or schools attended, use our guide to learn how to connect with Capella learners and alumni through social media.
  • Others who you have something in common with professionally
