You must make changes to your IRB application, updating your answers, and ensuring that you update documents by uploading new copies and deleting old versions of document.

When you get to the end of the IRB application, you will see the 'Submit' button. Click on this to sign and submit your revised application.

If action is required on your IRB Application, you will see 'You have 1xForm awaiting your attention' in the middle of your IRBManager home page under xforms. You will also receive an email stating that the application has been returned to you. There will be a link in that email that takes you to your application.

DO NOT start a new application. That application will be returned to you. In order to avoid confusion and ensure appropriate records you may only have one IRB application in IRBManager.

You are only able to make revisions to your application when it is in the 'IRB Application Data Entry' stage. Therefore, if your study is under review, you are unable to make changes. Email the IRB Office if you need your application returned to you (note that if it is under review and you ask the application to be returned to you, the review will be halted. This will lengthen your IRB review process. Therefore, we recommend you only ask the application to be returned to you if you need to make significant revisions).
