As a standard practice, Capella University does not permit doctoral researchers to name participants in their dissertations.  Identifying even a single participant when anonymity has been guaranteed presents a risk for all participants and is therefore not allowed.  Further, because the IRB-approved protocol guarantees participant anonymity, identifying the participant would present a deviation from the approved protocol.

Additionally, Capella University does not permit doctoral researchers to name the site(s) in their dissertation. In fact, the researcher should not reference the city or state as the site can often be discerned or discovered with this information.
