Capella University's IRB is committed to supporting researchers in the IRB Process. We work hard to respond to your questions and concerns and process your submissions as quickly as possible. However, the volume of IRB submissions and number of inquiries impacts our response times. The IRB often experiences high volumes at the beginning and the end of quarters.

In general, inquiries via email and phone are answered within 5 business days. IRB Reviews are conducted within 7-10 days. Once, the review has been completed there is an additional 1-2 days for processing the decision.  Therefore, it can take up to 10 days before the decision is sent to you.

Also note that the IRB does not review during quarter break. The last day to submit for review during the quarter is 11:59PM CST Friday of week ten.
