The comprehensive examination consists of three questions developed by program faculty. The examination questions address the identified program outcomes for your specialization, with focus on three different themes: synthesizing and applying theory, reviewing the scholarly literature, and understanding and applying research methodology. To progress to the dissertation stage of your doctoral program, you are required to receive a satisfactory (S) grade on the written examination. Learners in a professional doctorate program are not required to complete the comprehensive examination. Additional information can be found in the Comprehensive Examination Manual.
