Since Capella does not have a standard, recommended usage manual as of this writing, you have the freedom to pick one that works best for you.

  • The best way to pick one is to review your options. Browse the writing reference area in a bricks-and-mortar bookstore. Leaf through some in the Writing area of your local library. For online books, see if you can download a sample to preview. Visit some well-regarded websites and click through a few pages.
  • As you browse, look up a grammatical or mechanical item or two that you frequently question. For example, you might look up the information on semicolon usage or on the difference between continuous and continual.
