On the IRB application, you will be asked to input your mentor/faculty instructor's email address. This will ensure that your mentor is notified when you submit the application to the IRB and is copied on all decision letters.

Learners are expected to consult with their mentor/faculty instructor while completing and assembling their material for IRB review. There are a few ways to share your IRB application with your mentor/faculty instructor. The primary way to do so is by using the "Collaborate" feature. Upon starting a new IRB application, you are able to give your mentor/faculty instructor direct access to the appropriate IRB application using the "Collaborate" feature. Please see the attached job aid for instructions on using this feature.

You can also share your form with your mentor/faculty instructor by creating a PDF copy of the IRB application. To do this, you should open the IRB application in IRBManager, click the 'More' button located at the bottom of any page, and then select 'View as PDF' from the dropdown. This will prompt you to save a PDF copy of the entire IRB application/screening form to your computer. The PDF copy can then be attached in an email to your mentor/faculty instructor.

For further guidance, see Sharing the IRB Application and the step-by-step guide attached here.
