If selected, you will be asked to verify for the Department of Education certain pieces of information that were included on your application for federal aid. The type of information needed will vary depending on the individual, but can include copies of your federal tax return, federal tax return transcripts, W-2s, birth certificate, Social Security card, immigration documents, etc. Please review your “To Do List” in the Student Center for the specific documentation that will be needed.

Deadline for submitting documents for processing

Please refer to financial aid document deadlines for specific dates. As a best practice, you will want to have all documents completed two weeks prior to the start of your course.

After the verification process is completed and all other financial aid documents are received, your financial aid award will be packaged. You will be notified via e-mail once your award is ready to be accepted, reduced, or declined.

For more information, please review the Verification Process.
