For federal financial aid to disburse, you need to actively participate in courses that represent half-time status in your program and meet all other eligibility requirements.

To meet the requirements for a term, you must take a minimum number of credits determined by your program:

GuidedPath

•         Undergraduate: 9 credits

•         Graduate:  3 credits

FlexPath Model A

Not applicable because FlexPath Model A learners who are registered in a course or courses are considered to be enrolled on a full-time basis.

FlexPath Model B

•         Undergraduate: 2.25 program points

•         Graduate: 1.25 program points

•         Graduate learners in FlexPath Model B are considered half time.

To qualify for full-time status during a term, you need to actively participate in a minimum number of credits determined by your program.

GuidedPath

•         Undergraduate: 1-2 credits

•         Graduate: 6 credits

FlexPath Model A

•         All FlexPath Model A learners are considered full time.

FlexPath Model B

•         Undergraduate: 4-5 program points

To count toward financial aid eligibility, these courses must be considered part of your degree program (core courses, electives, etc.). If you have questions regarding whether a course is considered part of your degree program, contact your academic coach.
