Federal regulations require that all learners receiving federal financial aid meet certain academic standards to remain eligible for aid. FASAP requirements are designed to match academic standing requirements. Standards differ between the undergraduate and graduate degree levels, but they measure qualitative and quantitative requirements: Cumulative GPA (only applies to GuidedPath), Competencies (only applies to FlexPath), Completion Ratio, and Maximum Attempted Units.
Cumulative GPA is measured in GuidedPath and encompasses your total GPA at Capella within your degree level.
Competencies are measured in FlexPath as a review of your performance in FlexPath course assessments.
Completion Ratio is a percentage that is calculated by adding the number of units (credits or program points) successfully completed to your transferred credits and dividing by the number of units attempted and transferred.
Maximum Attempted Units refers to the maximum number of attempted credits/program points that are allowed for a program. This number is also affected by credits/program points that are transferred from other schools.
