Q: How do I resolve a blank high school field on the FAFSA?

If your FAFSA was submitted with your high School information field left blank or incorrect, this omission prevents Capella from moving forward with your financial aid application. The Department of Education requires accurate High School information.

Steps to resolve

Log in to Studentaid.gov using your credentials.
Click on your name in the top right corner to access My Activity.
Select the FAFSA for the correct
Click on Actions and then choose Make Corrections from the menu.
Navigate to the section labeled Ready to Make Updates.
Select Update Answer to Questions on Your FAFSA Form.
Continue through the form until you reach the Section Summary.
Make changes to Section 2, specifically updating your High School information (State, City, and Name). Make sure you check the High School Diploma.
Click Continue until you reach the end or select Skip to end of form.
Sign and submit the updated FAFSA form.

Once you complete these steps, we will process your correction within 2 to 3 business days.
