A persistent link is a permanent link that will go directly to an article in the library databases.

Please see the Persistent Links and DOIs library guide for examples and screenshots of where to find persistent links in our databases.

  • Persistent links are designed not to break and provide permanent URLs to a specific journal or article within an electronic article database that can be saved and used for future reference.

  • They are dedicated URLs that do not change.

  • Persistent links may be found in different places in each of the databases.

  • Persistent links may also be called permalinks, stable links, or document URLs.
