Because many of your citations will be coming from a database (i.e. ABI/INFORM Global, Academic Search Premier, etc.), the database doesn't necessarily have the information formatted in a way that's appropriate for APA style.

When you create a bibliography in RefWorks, RefWorks will try to reformat the information, but often it is not perfect.

  • Review your bibliography for formatting errors, like in the punctuation of author names, capitalization of titles, dates, DOIs or "retrieved from" statements, etc.
