Academic Writer is a database created by the APA that contains much of the same information as the APA Publication Manual.

  • You can access Academic Writer from the Writing Center's Evidence and APA page and from the Library's Databases A-Z page.

  • If you do not have a copy of the manual, you can find answers to almost all of your APA questions in the Academic Writer database.

  • This platform is designed to support mastery and use of APA Style as well as provide guidance through the research and writing process.
    • The quick guides and tutorials will help you generate accurate citations, build reference lists, and create properly formatted papers.
    • The Writing Center offers pre-formatted templates to ensure compliance with APA format.
    • In addition, the platform includes samples of complete papers, references, tables, figures, and more.

  • Please see our Academic Writer Database Guide for more details on how to use this database.

NOTE:  Academic Writer works best with Firefox and Chrome. We do not recommend using Internet Explorer or Edge.
